Infant Development Program

Early intervention helps children born with a diagnosed disability or medical condition reach their fullest potential. The experts with PinnacleHealth's Infant Development Program will provide a care program targeted for your child's individual needs.

The Care Team

Your child’s multidisciplinary care team includes early childhood specialists and physical, occupational and speech therapists who focus exclusively on the care and treatment of children. You, your family and your child’s physician are important parts of the care team. Easy access to a range of PinnacleHealth’s supportive services allows for comprehensive, customized treatment.

Treatments/Evaluations

The IDP offers multidisciplinary development evaluations, home visits and early intervention services to infants and toddlers under age three. It is funded through grants from the Dauphin County and Cumberland/Perry Counties’ Mental Health/Mental Retardation Programs.

  • Developmental follow-up for neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) graduates

  • Infant massage instruction

  • Occupational therapy
  • Parent resources and support activities
  • Pediatric feeding consultations
  • Physical therapy and
  • Speech therapy

The Infant Development Program is located in PinnacleHealth’s Community Health Center (former Uptown Professional Building) on the Polyclinic Campus.
