While getting pregnant may seem easy, some couples have difficulty. There may be problems with one or more of the physiological processes required to get pregnant, which may make having a baby difficult or even impossible. Both partners – male and female – can have infertility issues, and comprehensive testing and screening is required to determine the exact reasons that you cannot conceive.
PinnacleHealth’s staff of healthcare providers works closely with specialized private practices in the Harrisburg area to provide compassionate care to couples having difficulty getting pregnant. In most cases, physicians at these practices will evaluate specific situations and perform tests in both the male and female partners to determine the cause of infertility. Fertility treatment services may include full medical exams, X-rays, ultrasound, and hormone, ovulation and semen evaluation and analysis.
Once the causes of infertility have been determined, patients at affiliated practices can receive a variety of fertility treatment services, including:
Assistive Reproductive Technology, including in vitro fertilization
