I had an appointment that Monday to meet my doctors, but I ended up going to the hospital on Sunday and meeting all of my doctors at once".

"Once I ended up at the hospital the staff was right on top of things and very comforting, as I was scared out of my mind to have my water break so early. I was given a room and examined, I then was placed on a few different medications. This was because I was not in Labor and they wanted to keep me that way. I then was notified that I will not be going back home and we were going to keep me pregnant as long as possible. I was in the hospital for 3 days and then my labor kicked up."

"There was no stopping the baby from coming. I was being prepped for a c-section, as my other two kids were c-sections, but out of no where this baby was coming now. I have never seen so many doctors and nurses in one room before. There was one in particular, she had stayed an extra shift and stayed with me to have the baby (I was not able to contact my husband, we were new to the area and he was home with our 3 year old and 2 year old, plus it was 2:00 am in the morning, we didn't have our home phone turned on yet and he forgot his phone on the table down stairs)."

"I had Sophia Nicole Pickett at 2:20 am, she was 2lbs 7 oz. and thank god for the steroids I was given to help her lungs, she came out screaming. And breathing on her own. She was shown to me then whisked off to the NICU. There she did have to be resuscitated, and we had almost lost her. She stayed in the NICU for 8 weeks and just a little more then 5lbs on Feb 14th she was able to come home with us."

"The NICU staff was OUTSTANDING!! And Aunt Lorrie will always be a special person (She was Sophia's primary nurse). We still stay in touch. The Hospital is outstanding and I was so scared to come to a new place and not know what to expect. I can never thank everyone there enough! It was an incredible experience! I highly recommend it to anyone."
