Baby's Name: Lydia Maule
Birthdate:: August 28, 2009
Baby's Weight: 1 pound, 15 ounces
Baby's Height: 13.5 in
At 11 pm on August 24th i started having severe abdominal pain and contractions, I notified my nurse mid-wife and she told me to come down to labor and delivery and they would see what was going on."
"Upon arriving at Harrisburg the pain was un-bearable and they discovered my water had ruptured and i was 3.5 centimeters dilated they started to administer drugs to stop labor and to dry up some of the fluid so that the sac would move back up inside, so they could place a circlage in place and possibly send me home on bed rest. At, 8 am the 25th they turned me over to Maternal Fetal Medicine, the doctors there told me there was no chance of me going home that i would be in the hospital until delivery."
"It seemed very scary as it was only August and the baby girl was not due until December 8th. Unfortunately, labor started again 3 days later and i was fully dilated, when they started telling me to push they checked things out with an ultrasound, and found the baby was then breech and the cord was prolapsed I was rushed to the operating room where Lydia was delivered at 1700 pm (5 pm) She was 1 lb 15 oz 13.5 in, the minute i saw her my heart about stopped beating I was in shock that something so tiny that was a ''life'' was just pulled from my stomach."
"I got to meet Lydia the next day as I was very un-stable and had lost a lot of blood. When i got to meet our little girl my whole life changed just watching her progress in the neonatal intensive care unit everyday. I was strong and never once cried in front of her, through having our preachers,family, and friends at her bedside just about everyday Lydia made huge leaps and milestones. She was on the ventilator for (2)days, Si-Pap (2) days vapo-therm nasal canula O2 for one week and nasal canula room air for the duration of her stay she was oxygen free about a month before she came home, She definitely progressed by leaps and bounds."
"Pinnaclehealth, was excellent through everything they kept me and my family very well informed and we are amazed by the excellence and the care that Lydia received in the NICU by all of the nurses,neonatologists,NPs,and so many more...all of these people certainly made a difference in our lives and are the reason our daughter is alive today."
"Now 18 months old and weighing 25 lbs Lydia is VERY intelligent she is walking and talking and is a happy and healthy 18 month old, we also have utilized the ''Early Intervention Program'' Since she was an infant it has helped drastically!"
"Thank you so much Pinnaclehealth for saving our little girls life! Now, 35 weeks pregnant with our 2nd baby I am scheduled for another c-section in May i have utilized the 17P injections and I am having a full-term baby this time, the other day at our appointment they told us our new baby which is still in the womb is 6 lbs 15 oz definitely shows what excellence in medical treatments and faith do!! Thank you again so much!"
