I already have 2 small children at home and twins were not something I was ready to hear that day. I was there by myself because I thought that I might lose the pregnancy. So my husband was not there. Just imagine his surprise later that day when I told him that we were having TWINS!"

"The pregnancy was like my other two: easy, no problems, no complaints. Until I got to 20 weeks."

"I had another ultra sound and there was a problem. I was sent to Philly for some more tests on the following Monday. At the end of the all-day testing I was told that my babies were in a great amount of danger. They had something know as Twin-Twin-Transfusion-Syndrome. Where the one baby takes all the nutrients and blood from the smaller baby."

"If I did nothing I would have a 95% chance that I would loss both babies. If I had a surgery to cut off some veins on the placenta I would have a 45% chance that I would get both babies."

"Well after a very emotional week we choose to have the surgery to try and save both babies. We named them before surgery. So I went to CHOP and had the surgery. After about a week I came home."

"I had to go for weekly ultrasounds and each week you wait and wonder if you will still have two heartbeats beating inside. My boys just did great each week growing and growing. Also with this the babies can face neurological problems. We would not know that until I delivered."

"Also most women who have this problem don't carry much past 32 or 34 weeks. I went a long 38 weeks."

"I got up on a Thursday morning to go to a route appointment at Maternal Fetal medicine. When I got there we scheduled my induction date and I had a non-stress test. All looked great so I left. I got to my car about 9:45 and I was going to stop by the Giant on the way home but I felt funny. So home I went."

"I would say that I was having contractions. I got home and my grandpa left. He had kept my other two kids for me that day. I got home about 10:15 am About 10:25 I called my husband and told him I was in Labor and he needed to come home. Also my mother-in-law was on her way as well. My husband got there at 11:15 am. We left for the hospital at this point my contractions were every 3-4 minutes and very strong."

"I got to the hospital and got all checked in and they checked me at 12:00 pm I was almost 6 cm already. So I asked for my epidural and at 1:00 pm I had my epidural and I was feeling good. I was checked again at 1:20 and was 8 cm. They said that they were going to move me soon to an OR since twins had to be born there in case of a complication."

"Well, at 1:30 I was still in my room and I called the nurse and told her I needed to push and she was like no don't you may not be ready she check me and she said ok we need to move you NOW. The baby is right there! So fast we went to the OR."

"When I got on the table 3 pushes later my beautiful baby Grant was born at 1:45 pm weighing at 7 lbs 6 ounces and 19 1/2 long. I got to hold him and kiss him and off he went to get cleaned up. I also was not done."

"They checked by ultrasound to make sure the 2nd baby was still head down and he was. So it was a waiting game till he came down. BUT I did not wait long because at 1:51 pm My 2nd beautiful baby Parker was born. Weighting in at 6 lbs 8 ounces and 19 1/2 inches as well. Two identical twin boys."

"I will say that I had a boat load of people in the delivery room and all I know is everyone was GREAT."

"Dr Hole delivered the babies and I am just thankful that they are both healthy and not a single effect from the TTTS. I am grateful for all the attention that I got."
