The last few months of my pregnancy I had tremendous swelling of my feet, ankles and calves. The doctor told me it was nothing to worry about because my blood pressure was normal.”

“About 5 days before my due date I wasn't feeling well and left to go home from work early. I had a pain in my side, I couldn't breath which lead to my not being able to sleep. My husband got up for work on a Monday to find that I had been sitting up on the couch all night long. We called the doctor and went into the hospital.”

“After some blood tests they concluded that I had preeclampsia and that we needed to induce right away. They put me on magnesium so that I didn't have a seizure - I was induced and had my baby about 8 hours later.”

“My story isn't all that extraordinary except that the care I received while I was staying in the Labor and Delivery Ward was exemplary. I meant to send a thank you note and never got a chance. I was in Labor and Delivery longer then normal because they had to get my blood pressure and liver enzymes back to normal again.”

“The two main nurses that cared for me were Jen H and Ann Marie or Anna Maria (I believe that was her name). They were both so caring and thoughtful and I felt so comfortable the entire time that I was in their care.”

“When you have a baby you lose all humility and although it should have been embarrassing at times - it never was. I felt like these nurses cared about nothing but me and my health and well being. They do their jobs everyday and they see a lot of the same things over and over again but they never treated me like I was just another case.”

“If we have another baby I will NEVER go anywhere else again. And if someone reads this that can pass on my thank you I would appreciate it. Their care meant the world to me.”
