Birth Date: December 29, 2006
Weight: 8 pounds, 1 ounce
Birthplace: My Bedroom
Harrisburg, P

My doctor told me I was only three centimeters dilated and to go home, but I would probably have a baby within the next few days.”

“I went home with my five children (I also home school so they were all with me). A few hours later, I had a very painful contraction, with another one following about 15 seconds later. I knew the hospital was out, so I called my sister and husband between contractions. I yelled for my children to help (I also had to change a diaper between contractions).”

“My sister and husband came a few minutes later and called 911. The first person arrived on the scene (my bathroom), he was in full fire gear, and I was naked in the tub. The ambulance came soon after and I got out of the tub and on to the stretcher, which dropped about six inches, my water broke, and Ashton's head came out, all within minutes. What fun.”

“I rode to the hospital holding and nursing my beautiful baby, my children were all in the house, not in the room, along with my parents, 911 crew and a lot of firemen. I will never forget his birth as hard as I try.”

P.S. My sister is a veterinarian, so I felt safe the whole time, she should also be a midwife, she was great!
