"I woke up on October 29th, 2007 with horrible back pains. I went to the bathroom to find, I was bleeding. I quickly called my doctors and they told me to come to Labor and Delivery right away."

"My husband had been away hunting that morning, so my mom rushed me to the hospital while someone went and got Matt. We arrived at the hospital at about 7:30 am. I was checked by a nurse, and she told me I was 5cm dilated. They admitted me right away, and tried to stop the labor. "

"My mom helped me through all of my contractions, that were a minute apart for about an hour. Matt finally got there, and I got a strong urge to push. The nurses told me not to, because they didn't think I was ready just yet. I had gone from 5cm dilated to fully in a half hour. Abbie was on her way."

"I pushed for 15 minutes, when I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. Abbie Lee Lehman was born 10/29/2007 at 9:54 am, weighing in at 3lbs 6oz 16 1/4 in long. She was two months early, and had to stay in the NICU for a total of 75 days. She was then transferred to Hershey Hospital , where she had open heart surgery .01.07.08. She finally came home after being in both hospitals for 85 days. "

"The NICU staff is AMAZING and Abbie couldn't have had better care anywhere else. They made Matt and I feel right at home, and took GREAT care of our daughter. We thank God every day for what they have done. If it wasn't for them and their care, we wouldn't have Abbie happy and healthy today."
